Against the Light

生活不總是順利,而背光的時候,即使沒有光線直射,卻仍然能被溫柔包圍。

在《背光處》,王意淳挑選自己想說的話,使書寫呈現更直面內心的樣貌。在《躲貓貓》的遊戲中,暗處安全且易於躲藏,卻也是容易被忽略的所在,如同我們不斷地在生活的不同情境中,會有想要暫時避開目光、期待與過度注視的時刻。本展間刻意排除自然光,觀者被邀請進入低干擾的空間,專注地靠近作品,將自己安放於書法的庇蔭之中。

生活的明暗不會間斷,如同作品〈一處〉刻意留白空間與輕柔的筆觸,如光般照進藏匿的空間裡,陪伴觀者度過每個平凡的日子。

Life does not always pass by smoothly. Yet even in backlight—when no light falls directly—one may still be gently held within it.

In Against the Light, Wang selects the words she wishes to say, allowing her writing to take on a more direct and inward form.

In the game of Hide and Seek, the darker places offer safety and concealment, yet are also easily overlooked. In much the same way, within the shifting situations of everyday life, there are moments when we wish to step out of sight—away from attention, expectation, and prolonged scrutiny.

Natural light is intentionally excluded from this space. Viewers are invited into a low-interference environment, to slow down and draw closer to the works, placing themselves within the quiet shelter of calligraphy.

Light and shadow continue without end. It is hoped that these works, like light, may enter hidden spaces—accompanying each viewer through the ordinary days that follow.
