Yi Chun Wang – Calligrapher

Born in Chiayi and currently based in Taipei.

Graduated with a Master’s degree from the Department of Calligraphy and Painting Arts at National Taiwan University of Arts.

My creative practice begins with writing. Words are not merely language, but lines and rhythms that can be felt. Each brushstroke leaves a trace on paper while extending its breath into space, gradually growing into various forms—allowing calligraphy to flow continuously between two-dimensional and spatial realms.

Coffee and cats are essential companions in my daily creative life. These quiet, subtle moments help maintain a gentle and grounded rhythm in my work.

My works have received multiple awards and recognition. In recent years, I have also been invited to create calligraphic pieces for brands and government institutions, and have been featured in various media interviews. At the same time, my works have entered private collections, enabling writing to extend and be seen across different contexts.
